The "Go for Landing" Lunar Landing Maneuver conference that will be held at the Fiesta Inn in Tempe, AZ on March 4-5, 2008. It is being jointly sponsored by Arizona State University, the University of
Arizona, and the Lunar and Planetary Institute and is being convened by Wayne Ottinger (former LLTV project manager, NASA-DFRC) and Bill Gregory (retired USAF, former Shuttle astronaut). The purpose of the meeting is to bring together representatives of industry, government, and academia to discuss the necessary training, engineering, and science product requirements for the successful terminal descent phase of human lunar landings. The meeting will feature heavy participation from both Apollo-era NASA/contractor veterans and Constellation personnel.
